Baby Belly Downtown Duluth & Park Point Beach

July 9th, 2010 , Posted in Maternity

Earlier this week, I met J & E at home to take some bare belly shots before we headed downtown. We met at a coffee shop and waited for the rain (that came *out of nowhere*) to stop. We enjoyed sugary coffee drinks together (except for E, she was stuck with water) and chatted . The rain decided not to stop before sunset so we rescheduled the rest of the session and crossed our fingers that Baby B would stay put in mama’s belly. We set up a session a few days later and the weather was absolutely gorgeous…maybe even a little hot (in Duluth, yes, really). I looked out my front door and saw beautiful blue skies. As I prepped for the session and looked out my back door over the hill I mumbled explicits. There was a HUGE bank of dark clouds moving toward the lake and the wind picked up. It was looking like an exact repeat of our first try. I called E and we decided to go for it anyway. Actually, I think she said something about it being a marathon to get ready these days and I couldn’t possibly put her through it again. Ha! I get it…I totally get it. The clouds passed through with barely a sprinkle and we got to work. E’s poor feet were starting to swell, so we wrapped up the downtown location and headed to the beach…where it was cooler and oh, so, pretty! Now that the couple is all moved into their new place and the photo session is done, baby B is welcome to come any day now. I can’t wait to meet her!

waiting for baby

March 8th, 2010 , Posted in Maternity

This expectant mama was so, so sick for the session, yet so relaxed and full of love for her second baby. I sent her a message a couple of weeks before the session asking if she would be willing to go outside for some shots. I was thrilled that she agreed! It ended up being a nice sunny day in the upper 30’s and we barely made it to the shore before the sun set. I was hoping the (almost) full moon would bring on labor, but the baby was just not ready to enter the world. I’m so excited to meet the new baby! ANY day now. :)
